Alterum
The international Alterum project is realized in cooperation and reciprocal dialogue of four artist-run spaces: MŰTŐ from Budapest, VUNU from Košice and 35m2 from Prague and U10 from Belgrade. The aim of the project is to mutually present and introduce the independent scenes of the four countries and their actors, with an emphasis on non-profit ‘artist-run’ initiatives as important platforms, in the context of contemporary art in Central and Eastern Europe. During the collaboration, numerous presentations, panels and other various events are organized, both off and online in all four cities, including four exhibitions, one hosted by each space. More than 40 artists, curator, theorethicians and other professionals from the field of art contributed to the project for it’s duration. An extensive catalog was published as a result of the cooperation.
