BALKAN PARALLEL SPACES
On Saturday, September 6, from 17:30 to 19:30 CET (18:30 to 20:30 EET), BALKAN PARALLEL SPACES will take place – an audiovisual performance connecting Balkan cities in real time. The project explores how distant places coexist despite cultural, social, or systemic boundaries, while remaining deeply intertwined. Independent artists and gallery spaces from Varna, Sofia, Possidi, and Belgrade will livestream fragments of urban life, sound, and atmospheric visuals, reimagining space and identity beyond physical and digital boundaries. The raw immediacy of human presence takes the stage – unscripted, imperfect, alive.
The project is directed by Elena Dimitrova in collaboration with Ivailo Sergeev (Possidi, Greece), Meљ (Sofia, Bulgaria), BUNA (Varna, Bulgaria), and the U10 Art Space (Belgrade, Serbia).
