“A social and symbolic condition, gently vibrating with tension, inviting new interpretations of what shared experience can mean. In the end, it is always bread and wine.”
Isidora Branković (1999, Banja Luka) is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in Banja Luka. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Academy of Arts, University of Banja Luka, Department of Intermedia Arts. She obtained her Master’s degree in New Media at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, where she is currently pursuing doctoral studies in the same field.
Her artistic practice spans performance, video art, photography, painting, and installation. Branković’s work explores moral and social boundaries, as well as the position of the body, desire, and social taboos — a space where exposure and authenticity emerge as forms of resistance.
She creates within an atmosphere of rawness and sensuality — the scent of fresh meat and the suppression of elitism. Through irony and performativity, she reflects on the state of consciousness in contemporary society and the structures of dogma, as well as on how political, economic, and social systems construct both collective and individual identities.
Alongside her artistic practice, she actively contributes to the development of the contemporary art scene in Bosnia and Herzegovina through her work with Gallery Vagon, engaging in curatorial, production, and exhibition practices.
